Introduced back in 2015, smart contracts have often been hailed by enthusiasts as the decentralised future of deal-making. They are certainly part of our future, and even our present, but are we at the point where they will replace lawyers, or are there still barriers?
And if so, are they rooted in the current legal framework, or are there obstacles of other nature?
